Lorenzia Franklin Pitts, Sr.

Lorenzia Franklin Pitts, Sr., 89 of Trudie, passed away Sunday (January 1, 2023) at Jesup Health and Rehab following an extended illness.

Born in Laurens County, GA., his parents were I.J. Columbus Pitts and Cynthia Nellie Colson Pitts. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sally Simpson Pitts; a daughter, Sandra Pitts; and several brothers and sisters.

Lorenzia was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacons and was a Sunday School Teacher. He loved his Church and enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling the Country.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Lorenzia Franklin Pitts, Jr. (Shellie), of Fountain, CO.; his daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Rowell (Steve), of Trudie; 6 grandchildren, Amber Bayne (Jason), Doug Pitts, Matthew Rowell (Kyoo), Patrick Rowell (Aislinn), Christopher Rowell (Laura), and Tyler Rowell (Julia); 8 great grandchildren and one on the way.

Funeral Services will be held Friday (January 6, 2023) at 10:30AM at Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service, at the Church.

Graveside Services will be held Friday (January 6, 2023) at 2PM at Chapel Park Cemetery in Brunswick.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
