Jesup, Ga.

Loretta Drury Bishop, 78 of Jesup died Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her residence after an extended illness. The Brantley County native had lived in Wayne County most of her life, was a member of Bethlehem Wesleyan Church, where she was treasurer for 12 years and taught the Sr. Adult Sunday School Class. She enjoyed restaurant management, gardening, growing and canning vegetables and attending church services. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Wayne Bishop; two daughters, Debbie Kidd and Tammy Williams; two sisters, Adelaide Ivey and Anita Martin; a brother, Gerald Drury.

Survivors are 3 sisters, Irma Moody, Laverne Frye(Hubert) Littlefield, both of Jesup, Myra (Jesse) Perkins of Lakeland, Fla.; a foster son, Lawrence Hardwick of Jesup; a step-son, Mark(Kema) Bishop of Gray; a step-daughter, Vickie(Harrell) Giltz of Gray; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Bishop of Jesup; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, including a special niece and caregiver, Saundra Outlan, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Pastor Sheldon Rowell and Rev. Stanley Todd officiating. Interment will be in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Shon Mullis, Wayne Mullis, Sheldon Rowell, Jr., John Martin, Ernest Frye and Woody Manuel. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Bethlehem Wesleyan Church and the staff of Hospice of South Georgia.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the funeral home.
