Lorna Gail Marr

Folkston- Lorna Gail Crews Marr, 60, of Folkston passed away early Friday morning (July 31, 2020) at her residence after an extended illness.

Born in Blackshear, GA. her parents were William Oscar Crews and Leona Jacobs Crews. She is also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Delbert Crews, Charles David Crews, Bobby Way Crews and Ronald Lee Crews; and a sister, Darlene Crews.

Lorna was a homemaker and a member of Miracle Baptist Church in Hephzibah, GA. She loved fishing, going to the mountains, taking care of kids and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Michael W. Marr, Sr. of Folkston ; 3 sons and their spouses; Michael W. Marr, Jr. (Marie) of Folkston, Phillip Marr, Sr. (Amanda) of Waverly and Joseph Marr (Amanda) of Kingsland; 12 Grandchildren; Michaela Marr, Phillip Marr, Jr., Kevin Marr, Joseph “Jojo” Williams, Matthew Powell, Ben Gremmels, Emily Marr, Annmarie Watts, James Watts, Bobby Crews, Adam Hill, and Loretta Hill; 3 Great Grandchildren, Easton Marr, Finley Ison, and Micah Ison; a brother and his wife, Horace Crews (Veronica) of Hephzibah; 2 sisters, Margie Spence and Goldie Benassi both of Augusta, GA; and also several nieces, nephews, children she has raised and a host of friends.

Due to the COVID-19, the family would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing and face mask are recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the Family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening (August 2,2020) from 6pm-9pm at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Monday morning (August 3, 2020) at 11am at New Hope Cemetery Rev. Ricky Knox officiating.

Pallbearers will be Shane Maynard, Ben Gremmels, Phillip Marr, Jr., Kevin Marr, Bobby Crews and James Marr.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
