Louis Leon Stanley, Jr.

Louis Leon Stanley, Jr., 43 of Hickox, GA died Monday afternoon (Aug. 10, 2009) at his residence. Born in Spartanburg, S.C., his parents are Elizabeth Scantlin Vickery and the late Louis Leon Stanley, Sr. He is also preceded in death by his step-father, James Vickery. He was owner and operator of Stanley Enterprises, a landscaping business. He love to fish, working in landscaping and music. He was a past deacon of Lulation Baptist Church. He is survived by Marlene Stanley of Hickox, 3 Daughters, Theresa Corbitt of Hickox, Rebecca and Johnny Perkins of Savannah and Lacey and Wesley Herrin of Waynesville; 2 Grandchildren, Hannah "Bug" Perkins and McCade Herrin; his Mother Elizabeth Vickery of Hickox; 2 sisters, Lisa and Darrell Brinson of Hickox, Thereesa and David Anderson of Peru, IN; a brother, Raymond Vickery of Maderia Beach, FL; 2 nieces, Crystal and Ricki Doane of St. Mary's, GA and Amanda Joyner; and a nephew, Glenn Barnard. Also several other relatives. A Memorial service will be held Saturday (Aug. 15, 2009) at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home, in Nahunta with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel. Memorialization will be by cremation. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.fryefh.com.
