Louise Byrd Wainright

Riverside- Mrs. Louise "Byrd" Wainright, 88, of Riverside died Saturday evening (January 12, 2013)at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after a brief illness. Born in Hickox, GA her parents were Charlie L. & Mary Lettie Davidson Byrd. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd H. Wainright; a daughter, Elizabeth Wainright; a son, Derrell Wainright; 3 brothers, Charlie Liston Byrd, John Lewis Byrd and Linton "Jinks" Byrd; and a Sister, Lois Lee. Mrs. Louise was a homemaker and a member of Riverside Chapel Baptist Church. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, fishing and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include 6 children & their spouses, Cordell Wainright, Ronnie & Shirley Wainright both of Riverside, Evelyn & Gerald Drew of Nahunta, Kay & Farley Lee of Winokur, Ruth & Andy Harris of Riverside and Rev. Randy & Stephanie Wainright of Jesup; 12 Grandchildren & their spouses, Jeffery Wainright, Amanda & Chris Story all of Riverside, Stacie Drew & Matt Brooker of Atkinson, Amy & Stuart Thrift of Riverside, Brian Lee of Winokur, Christopher & Reada Harris of Riverside, Drew & Jessica Harris of Blackshear, Devin & Hilary Harris of Hickox, Kelly Harris of Riverside, Liston Wainright, Kandace Wainright, Spenser Wainright all of Jesup; 9 Great Grandchildren, Lexie Wainright, Paige Wainright, Rilee Story, Colt Brooker, Grayson Thrift, Avery Thrift, Maggie Harris, Zary Harris and Hanner Harris; a sister, Lorene Johnson of Jacksonville, FL; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday evening (January 14, 2013) from 6-11PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning (January 15, 2013) at 11AM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright, Rev. Wayne Manning and Rev. Edward Colley officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Hickox. Pallbearers will be Christopher Harris, Drew Harris Brian Lee, Matt Brooker, Liston Wainright, Devin Harris, Stuart Thrift, Chris Story and Jeffery Wainright. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Thrift, Scamp Thrift, Chuck Bass, Billy Thrift, Jeffery Johns, Clark Lyons, John Wainright and B.S. Johns. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
