Lucille Wainright Johns

Nahunta-Lucille Charlotte Wainright Johns, 92 of Nahunta, passed away Thursday (November 22, 2012) at Bayview Nursing Home following an extended illness. Born in Blackshear, Ga., her parents were Seab and Belle Teston Wainright. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Ruail Johns; a son, Willie Joe Johns, Sr.; 2 grandsons, Chris Johns and Willie Joe Johns, Jr.; 3 sisters, Bessie Blount, Connie Johns, and Pearl Cox; and a son-in-law, Lawrence Lee. Lucille was a homemaker who loved singing and dancing. She was of the Holiness Faith. Survivors include 2 sons, Lavelle Johns and Clifford Johns, both of Nahunta; a daughter, Charlotte Lee, of Hoboken; 11 grandchildren, Wesley Lee, of Hoboken, Charlene Brigmond, of Blackshear, Tony Lee, James Lee, both of Hoboken, Gloria Crosby, of Blackshear, Chad Johns, of Douglas, Crystal Johns, and Jonah Johns, of Nahunta, both of Nahunta, Brett Hicks, and Eddie Hicks, both of Cartersville, Ga., and Jessica Johns, of Nahunta; 12 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Saturday evening (November 24, 2012) from 6-8 PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Graveside Service will be held Sunday afternoon (November 25, 2012) at 2 PM at Bethlehem Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Johns and Rev. Charles Florey officiating.
