Nahunta - Mrs. Lula Mae Allen Johns,88,of the Bachlott Community died Friday afternoon at her sons residence after an extended illness. Born in Winokur, Georgia her parents were General Leon Allen and Lovie Crews Allen. A member of The Bachlott Church of God she enjoyed embroidering, gardening and fishing. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with all of them. Mrs. Johns had worked in the Lobster Room at King Shrimp before her retirement. Preceded in death by her Parents, her loving husband, Kermit Johns, 2-daughters, Ann Johns and Glenda Davis, a son, Wayne Johns, a granddaughter, Margaret Johns, a great-grandson, Andre Mariscal, 6-brothers, Carlos, Paul, Rev. L.C., W.F. "Dub" and James Allen and Willis Wingard, 2-sisters, Martha Johns and Mary O'Quinn. She survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Hazel Johns, of the Bachlott Community , 4-daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Charles White, of Hickox, Wanda and Jim Mohandespour, of the Bachlott Community , Estor and Carl Nettles, also of the Bachlott Community and Drene and Michael Herrin, of Hickox, 1-son-in-law, Gene Johns, of the Bachlott Community,13-grandchildren, 30-great-grandchildren, 9-great-great-grandchildren, 5-step-grandchildren, 18-step-great-grandchildren and 1-step-great-great-grandchild, also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be Sunday evening (Mar. 6, 2011) starting at 5P.M. at the Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta. Funeral services will be held Monday morning (Mar. 7, 2011) at 11A.M. from the Bachlott Church of God with Rev. Wilbur Dean and Rev. Ion Johns officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in the Bachlott Church Cemetery. Mrs. Johns will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service. Pallbearers are Shannon Herrin, Desmond Johns, Dale Johns, Roy Crummey Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.fryefh.com.
