Mack David Thrift, Iii

Nahunta - Mack David Thrift, III, 57, of Nahunta died Friday morning ( January 30, 2015) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Jesup, GA his parents were Mack David, Jr. and Erma Juanita McClain Thrift. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl "Cherry" Marquis. Mack was a carpenter and served in the United States Army. He also was a member of Morton Ave. Baptist Church in Waycross and loved doing carpenter work. Survivors include 2 Sons and a daughter-in-law, Josh Thrift and Matt & Sarah Thrift all of Waycross; 2 grandchildren, Mattilyn Thrift and Joshlyn Thrift both of Waycross; a brother and sister-in-law, Ricky & Harriett Thrift of Waycross; a sister, Donna Kay Thrift of Waycross; a niece, Kristy Eunice of Waycross; 2 nephews, Scott Eunice of Waycross and Jason Williams of North Carolina; and also several other relatives. A visitation will be held Monday evening (February 2, 2015) from 6-9PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning (February 3, 2015) at 11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Grady Allbritton officiating. Burial will follow in Dowling Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Grantham, Jamie Stewart, Jimmy Myers, Paul Smith and Jimmy Bechiom. Honorary pallbearer will be Fred Allbritton. Pallbearers are asked to be at the chapel Tuesday by 10:30am.
