Margie Loucille Morgan

Waynesville – Margie Loucille Herrin Morgan, 79, of Waynesville passed away Sunday morning (December 8, 2019) at Bayview Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Born in Nahunta, GA her parents were Earnest Herrin and Angela Willis Herrin. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Deloris Flowers.

Margie worked in the business department at Brunswick Hospital for 30 years and retired as the business manager. She was a member of The Church of God and enjoyed sewing, growing flowers and watching red birds.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Leon Morgan of Waynesville; a son and daughter-in-law, Joey & Cindy Morgan of Hoboken; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Lynn & JW Edwards of Nahunta and Aleta Morgan of Waynesville; 7 grandchildren, Michael Morgan, Deonne O’Quinn (Greg), Megan Edwards, Jay Edwards (Gloria), Zach Edwards (Erica), Jessica Harris (Drew), and Britni Bass(Kevin); several great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Cleve & Brenda Herrin of Raybon; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, LaRetha & Brian Cowart of Blackshear and Era Mae Strickland of Brunswick; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Tuesday (December 10, 2019) starting at 10am at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning (December 10, 2019) at 11am at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Bishop Raymond Willis and Rev. David Dowling officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Raybon.

Pallbearers will be Jay Edwards, Zach Edwards, Johnny Strickland, Timmy Herrin, Brenson Lee, and Jamie Chesser.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
