Marie Stone

Hortense – Marie Antoinette Vernon Stone, 52, of Hortense passed away Thursday (November 28, 2019) at her residence.

Born in Indianapolis, IN her parents are Judith Sharpe Partin and the late Larry Deen Vernon.

Marie was a homemaker who loved spending time with her grandkids, sunbathing, making jewelry, sewing and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Greg Stone of Hortense; a son and daughter-in-law, Allen & Mindy Stone of Waverly; 2 grandchildren, Gregory Stone and Ashbi Stone both of Waverly; her mother, Judith Partin of Townsend; 2 brothers, Michael Vernon (Renee) of Townsend and Tony Partin of Townsend; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (December 3, 2019) from 6pm – 8pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning (December 4, 2019) at 11am at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Brown officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
