Hoboken – Marsha “Marty” Frances Altman Strickland, 70, of Hoboken passed away Thursday evening (February 18, 2021) at Memorial Satilla Health after a brief illness.
Born in Waycross, GA her parents were Noah G. Altman and Frances Dyals Altman. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Terry Altman; and a sister-in-law, Mary Altman.
Marty was a nanny and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She loved dancing, singing, baking, crocheting, and wood working.
Survivors include her husband, Lamont Strickland of Hoboken; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Donald “Donny” Lee (Wendi) of Blackshear and Josh Lee (Susan) of Nahunta; step daughter, Shelly Andreoli (Buddy) of Waycross; stepson, Jeffrey Rogers (Stacey) of Jacksonville, FL; 4 grandchildren, Wayne Lee of Charleston, SC, Morgan Lee of Blackshear, Cole Andreoli and Shandi Harper (Heath) all of Waycross; a great grandchild, Kylie Harper; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda G. Crews and Diane Nichols (David) all of Hoboken; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary Altman (Susan) of Hoboken; her special family, Dr. Jill Bryant, Scott Bryant and Micah Bryant and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Due to the COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing and face mask are highly recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
A graveside services will be held Monday morning (February 22, 2021) at 11am at High Bluff Cemetery with Rev. Mike Walker officiating.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
