Martha Jane Watterson

December 14, 1919 — September 5, 2012

Nahunta- Martha Jane Short Watterson, 92 of Nahunta, passed away Wednesday (September 5, 2012) at her residence following an extended illness. Born in Butler, Missouri., her parents were Emori Wilson and Myrtle Ann Stubbs Short. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Watterson; 4 brothers, Edward, Otis, Virgil, and Roy Short; and a sister, Glena Barton. Martha was a homemaker, and a member of Four Square Gospel Church, of Woodland, CA. She loved picnics, bikes, crafts, flowers, and working with children. Mrs. Watterson spent her life along with her late husband serving the Lord. They together were used by the Lord in starting several churches. The last being Four Square Gospel Church in Farmington, New Mexico they also pastored a church in Knights Landing, CA., Their first where she was a member still was The Four Square Gospel Church in Woodland, CA., she attended Life Bible college in, CA, she was the President of Ladies Missionary and also had a mail ministry. Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Martha Ann and Donald Renshaw, of Hickox, and Lora Jane and Dan Pruitt, of Paradise CA.; 7 grandchildren and their spouses, Cindy Diane and Charles West, Craig and Phyllis Renshaw, Timmy and Carol Renshaw, Randy Renshaw, Darrell and Doris Inglehart, Lori and Jon Hornback, and Deanna Brown; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great- grandchildren; and a special cousin, Pearl Millhollin. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday morning ( September 8, 2012) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home, with Bro. Tim King and Bro. Timmy Renshaw officiating. Interment will be at a later date, in Paradise, CA. Local arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Arrangements in Paradise, CA. will be by Callahan Mortuary, Los Angeles Sympathy may be expressed by signing our online registry at fryefh.com.
