Hoboken- Mary Amigo Wood Sterman, 90, of Hoboken died early Saturday morning (March 24, 2012) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Saint Cloud, FL her parents were Robert and Edith Florence Miller Wood. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John Roy Sterman; a brother, Robert Wood and a sister, June Ballengee. Mary was a caretaker and attended the Church of God for many years in Florida. Also she played the organ at the Baptist Church in Florida and later became a member and played the organ for Hoboken Baptist Church . Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Vaughn & Diane Sterman of Sanford, FL and John R. & Sandy Sterman, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Meredith & Donald Dreggors of Hoboken and Debra Sisk of Silver Springs, FL; 8 grandchildren, Jody Dreggors, Jeannie Silva, Don R. Sisk, Dale Sick, Daniel Sick, James Sterman, Holly Mercurieff and Matthew Sterman; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tues evening (March 27, 2012) from 7-9PM at Hoboken Baptist Church in Hoboken, GA. A graveside service will be held Wednesday (March 28, 2012) at 12PM at Hoboken Cemetery with Pastor Don R. Sisk and Rev. Tim Rowell officiating. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
