Mary Eva Davis Miller, 84 of White Oak, GA., passed away Sunday (April 19, 2015) at her residence following an extended illness. Born in White Oak, GA., her parents were Thomas Moultrie Davis and Sophie Mae Harrell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sam Townsend Miller, Sr., a son, Mike Miller; a grandson, Joseph Miller; a great grandchild, Baby Williamson; 2 brothers, Howard Swain, and George Davis; 3 sisters, Rosalee Swain, Maybelle Clayton, and Ruby Davis. Mary was a homemaker and a member of King Memorial Baptist Church. She was a volunteer cookie lady at Bayview Nursing Home, a very devoted Christian, she had been 12 years without missing a service. She loved gardening, flowers, cooking for friends and family. Her door was always open. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Sam Miller, Jr. (Janice), Joe Miller (Debbie), Thomas Miller (Fannie), and Richard Miller (Regina); two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra King (Greg), and Lindy Carter (Kim), all of White Oak; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild; a sister, Maxine Adams, of Brunswick;and a very special niece, Shirley Carter. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday (April 21, 2015) starting at 6PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday (April 22, 2015) at 11AM, at King Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Yawn, Rev. Tommy Sikes, and Rev. Tim Rowell officiating. Burial will follow in Bickley Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas Miller, Richard Miller, Greg King, Kim Carter, Richard Miller, Jr., Kevin Chaney, and Sam Miller, III. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchild, and Dr. Wade Strickland. Family and pallbearers are asked to meet at the church Wednesday by 10:30AM. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Sympathy may be expressed by signing our online registry at fryefh.com.
