Mary Faye Cone

Mary Faye Taylor Cone, 63 of Hortense, passed away Sunday (September 24, 2017) at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Brunswick, GA., her parents were Clarence Taylor and Catherine Godley Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Justin Kody Smith.

Mary worked 30 years in the food service Industry working at various restaurants and was an assistant food service director at FLETC in the early 90’s. She was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed cooking and sewing.

Survivors include her spouse of 26 years, David Shadron, of Hortense; 4 daughters and a son-in-law, Susan Smith, of Hortense, Barbie Cone, of Hortense, Amber Powell (Raymond), of Hortense, and Alyssia Hovanec, of Brunswick; 3 sons and a daughter-in-law, Jimmy Smith (Melinda), of Hortense, Timothy Cone (Hope), of Hortense, and Tonnie Shadron, of Cocoa Beach, FL; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane Blanton (Dwayne), of Swainsboro, GA., Irene Leggett (William), of Brunswick, and Peggy Daniels (Wayne), of Waynesville.

A memorial service will be held Friday (September 29, 2017) at 11AM at Bay Harbor Church of God of Brantley, with Rev. Tommy Gill officiating.
