Mary Grace Edgy Chorba

Mrs. Mary Grace Edgy Chorba, 68, of Waynesville died Monday evening (September 13, 2010) at Altamaha Healthcare in Jesup after an extended illness. Born in Waynesville her parents were Elliott Calvin and Ruby Augusta Strickland Edgy. She is also preceded by her husband, William Carl Chorba; a son, Christopher Daren Chorba; and 3 brothers, E.C.Edgy, Tommy Edge and Carl Edgy. Mary was a homemaker and a caretaker for many years and a member of Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Timmy Chorba of Waynesville and Mitchell William & Cindy Chorba of Hortense; a daughter and son-in-law, Teysha Justice and Gordon Shaw of Waynesville; 6 grandchildren, Brandon & Krystal Justice of Panama City, FL, Kelly Justice of Waynesville, Timothy Chorba and Jessica Chorba both of Nahunta, Trenton Chorba of Richmond Hill and Trevor Chorba of Hortense; a great grandchild, Carter Justice of Panama City, FL; 5 brothers and sisters-in-law, Marlin & Dorothy Edgy, Claude & Theresa Edgy, Harry & Rose Edgy, Clayton & Georgia Edgy and Marshall & Debra Edgy all of Waynesville; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening (September 15, 2010) from 6-9 PM at her residence 1719 Hwy 110 E Waynesville, GA 31566. A funeral service will be held Thursday morning (September 16, 20101) at 11AM at Pilgrims Rest Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Eddie Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be her brothers and her grandson, Marlin Edgy, Claude Edgy, Harry Edgy, Clayton Edgy, Marshall Edgy and Brandon Justice. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
