Mary 'Jackie' Jacqueline Rowell

Waynesville- Mary “Jackie” Davis Harrell Rowell, 64 of Waynesville, passed away Tuesday (May 31, 2016) at Southeast Georgia Health System following a brief illness.

Born in Douglas, GA., her parents were James Lawton Davis and Rose Ann Reliford Davis. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Willard Davis, and Stanford Ray Davis; and two sisters, Vivian Nailing, and Naomi McGee.

Jackie worked many years as a Veterinarian Assistant, and 13 years for Coffee County High School as a Custodian. She was a member of Hortense Wesleyan Church, and enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, gardening, and loved baby dolls. She never met a stranger, and was loved by everyone who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Rowell, of Waynesville; two sons, James Harrell, of Waynesville, and Nick Rowell, of Lulaton; two stepsons, Rondel Hollinger, of Douglas, Alfred Harrell, Jr.; three stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Jimmy Moore, of Mississippi, Oletha Brady, of Douglas, Mary and Lee Tucker, of Fitzgerald; four grandchildren, Luke and Megan Harrell, Edward Rowell, Cheyene Rowell, Suzanne Rowell; 12 other grandchildren; one great grandchild, James Alfred “Bo” Harrell; one sister and brother-in-law, Jimmie Lorine Davis Tiller(Marvin), of Hortense. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday (June 3, 2016) at 1PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Lamos officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service starting at 12PM at the Funeral Home.
