Waynesville - Mary Lee Rooks Howe, 89, of Waynesville died Thursday evening (March 12, 2015) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after an extended illness. Born in Waynesville, GA her parents were William Robert and Alma Lyles Rooks. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Kirmith Dover Howe ,Sr; a son, Thomas Howe, Sr.; a daughter Joyce Kyser; and 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Mary was a homemaker and a member of Waynesville Baptist Church. She loved her grandchildren, babysitting, sewing, and gardening. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kirmith D., Jr & Grace Howe of Waynesville; 6 grandchildren and their spouses, Charles & Belinda Howe, Kirmith Howe, III, Matthew & Mary Howe, Angie Kyser, ReNae Kyser and J.R. Kyser all of Waynesville; 13 great grandchildren, Kayla Johns(Blake), Candice Howe, Maddisyn Howe, Makenzie Howe, Anthony Kyser, James Daniels, Chris Kyser, Katie Kyser, Junior Kyser, Matt Kyser, Seth Wainright, Marty Kyser & Destiny Curry(Devin); 2 great great granddaughters; 5 siblings and their spouses, Robert Rooks, Chestine & Joyce Rooks, Loretta Brockington, Wille Mae Johnson and Elizabeth & Harrel Butler all of Waynesville; and also several nieces nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Saturday evening (March 14, 2015) starting at 6PM-9PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta, GA. A funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon (March 15, 2015) at 2PM at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Ion Johns officiating.Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Waynesville. Pallbearers will be Alex Hall, Charles Howe, Buddy Howe, Matthew Howe, David Butler and Harrel Butler. . Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
