Mary Mizell

Hortense- Mary Hooper Mizell, 84 of Hortense, passed away Saturday evening (November 30, 2013) at Bayview Nursing Home in Nahunta following an extended illness. Born in Robbinsville, NC., her parents were Lloyd and Bessie Bennett Hooper. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Truitt Mizell; and also her second husband, Robert Dowling; four sisters; and two brothers. Mary attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Hortense. She was a homemaker, who loved going to Church, sings, reading the bible, and sitting with her four legged babies. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Beth Lartz (Randy), of Hortense; her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Mizell (Janis), of Chattanooga, TN.; a grandchild, Jennifer Heinz (Ron), of St. Louis, Missouri; and a great grandchild, Natalie Heinz, of St. Louis, Missouri. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Memorialization will be by cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
