Mary Susan Gibson Allbritton

Mary Susan Gibson Allbritton, 46 of Waycross, passed away suddenly Monday (October 13, 2014) at her residence. Born in Okeechobee, FL., her parents were Adam Fredrick Gibson and Linda Lou McCormick Gibson Stubblefield. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Maude Bushee and Shelby McCormick; and a cousin, Pamela McKinney. Susan enjoyed gardening, crafts, painting, loved the beach, swimming, animals, traveling, and cooking. She was very sociable. Susan attended Nahunta First Baptist Church. She was employed with Coastal Pines as a clerk. Susan never had her own children. But she had many children. She was "Aunt Susan" to Joshua, Brittany, Franklin, Emily, Mary Beth, Nicholas, Shelby, Noah, Isaac, and Drake. She was like their 2nd mother. She has many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews that she loves very much. Survivors include her husband, Wesley Allbritton, of Riverside; 1 aunt and her husband, Janie Johns (Jack), of Nahunta; 1 uncle and his wife, Ralph McCormick (Trudy), of Waycross; 2 sisters, Nelly Herring, and Alina Gibson, both of Miami, FL.; 3 cousins who were like her siblings, Sherri Johns (Andy), of Nahunta, Jeff Johns (Lana), also of Nahunta, and Ralph McCormick, Jr. (Ann), of Racepond; Mother and Father-in-Law, Jayne and Fred Allbritton, of Riverside, 3-sister-in-laws, Shawn Dixon (Hershel), Sabrina Gillis ( David) all of Riverside and Erin Gillis ( Robert) of Folkston. Visitation will be held Thursday (October 16, 2014) from 6PM-8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Friday afternoon (October 17, 2014) at 3PM at Nahunta First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Carson and Rev. Robert Gillis officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Williams, Franklin Dixon, Nicholas Gillis, Drake Gillis, Isaac Gillis, Chad Hanchey, and Justin Drayton.
