Matthew Jackson Williams, Sr.

Hortense- Matthew Jackson “Mack” Williams, Sr., passed away Sunday (September 10, 2023) at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, following an extended illness.

Born in Hickox, GA., his parents were Robert L. Williams and Willodine Steedley Williams. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert John Williams; and his brother, Jimmy Ray Williams.

Mack worked many years in Construction. He enjoyed fishing, mechanicing and loved to spend time with his family.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Matthew Jackson “Matt” Williams, Jr. (Stephanie), of Blackshear; two grandchildren, Graci Williams and Matti Williams; his brother, Harold Williams, of Hickox; and a special aunt, Yvonnie Wainright (C.B.), of Hickox. Also several other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday (September 12, 2023) from 6PM-8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday (September 13, 2023) at 2PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.

Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Williams, Lewis Williams, Aaron Wilson, Joe Wainright, CB Wainright and Scott Lambert. Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Shuman, Steve Wilson and Harvey Newman.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
