Maura Ashton Steedley

Maura Ashton Steedley, 18, of Nahunta died suddenly Wednesday night (October 14, 2009) at Satilla Regional Medical Center. Born in Brunswick, GA her parents are Thomas Wayne Steedley and Vickie Thrift Brooks. She attended Bachlotte Church of God. She is survived by two children, David Michael White and Addyson Leigh White both of Nahunta; her mother, Vickie Thrift Brooks of Nahunta; her father and step-mother, Tommy & Cyndee Steedley of Nahunta; a brother, Connor Steedley; a sister, Lariscy Brooks; a step-sister, Brandee Herrin; maternal grandparents, Lamar & Iva Lee Thrift of Nahunta; paternal grandparents, George & Brenda Steedley and Gerald & Elaine Baxley all of Nahunta; a special friend, Sherry R. Johns; prayer buddy, Joyce Ann Long; several uncles and aunts, Jason & Erin Thrift, Timmy Steedley, Terry & Kim Steedley and Heather Baxley all of Nahunta; also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Saturday evening (October 17, 2009) starting a 6pm at Frye Funeral Home of Nahunta. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon (October 18, 2009) at 3pm at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church in Hickox with Rev. Randy Wainright, Rev. Chuck Allen, Rev. Buddy Allen and Rev. Randy Carson officiating. Burial will following in Riverside Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tyler Steedley, Jared Steedley, Devon Baxley, Cole Carter, Dave Long and Zach Johns.
