Mettie Lucille Chesser

Mettie " Lucille" Chesser, 84, of Jacksonville, FL died early Saturday morning (August 29, 2009) at Life Care Center of Hilliard, FL after an extended illness. Born in Brantley County her parents were the late William Charlie and Lucy Allmar Aldridge Chesser. She is also preceded in death by her husbands, Willie Prosser and Guy Chesser; 5 brothers, Clyde, Fred, Sam, Virgil & John Chesser; and 3 sisters, Stella Johnson, Leona Johns and Melissa Chesser. She retired after 21 years from St. Luke's Hospital as a nurses aid and was a member of Dinsmore Baptist Church. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Frank & Aline Chesser of Jacksonville, FL; also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning (September 1, 2009) at 10 A.M. at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning (September 1, 2009) at 11 A.M. at Frye Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Dunn and Rev. Parnell Aldridge officiating.
