Waynesville- Michael Leslie Roberson, 52, of Waynesville died Saturday evening (November 30, 2013) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Jacksonville, FL his parents are Alvin Roberson and the late Gloria Davis Roberson. Michael was a shop foreman for Waggoners Trucking and a member of Satilla Baptist Church. He also loved his grandchildren, fox hunting, his dogs and racing. Survivors include his wife, Amy Roberson of Waynesville; a son and daughter-in-law, Justin & Rachel Roberson of Hortense; a daughter, Jessica Petersen of Hortense; a step-son, Will Davis of Waynesville;3 grandchildren, Cain Roberson, Aiden Petersen and Amaya Petersen; his father Alvin Roberson of Hortense; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Charles & Angie Roberson and Joe Roberson all of Jesup and Al Roberson of Jacksonville, FL; a nephew and his spouse, Codey & Taylor Roberson of Landis, NC; a uncle, Sammy Davis of Hortense; and also several other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday evening (December 2, 2013) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning (December 3, 2013) at 11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Monroe Gill and Rev. Tommy Gill officiating. Burial will follow in Hortense Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wade Lee, David Knox, Donnie Taylor, Bill West, Moose Jowers , and Sonny Danese. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Waggoners Trucking and the Thunder Ridge fox pen. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
