Michael Lamar Lyons

Hortense- Michael Lamar Lyons, 63 of Hortense, passed away Wednesday (February 5, 2025) at his residence.

Born in Jesup, GA., his parents are Claudie Pitts Lyons, of Richmond Hill, GA and the late David Lyons. Along with his father, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Katie Lyons Carroll.

Michael worked many years as a Machinist. He was a 1979 graduate of Camden County High School. He enjoyed golf and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his two sons and a daughter-in-law, Clint Lyons, Alex Lyons (Carolyn), all of Ludowici; three stepchildren, Wayne Larrison, Jacob Larrison (Jessica), all of Camden County, and Serenia O’Berry (Bryan), of Scottland, GA; three grandchildren, Tommy Carroll (Nicole), Gabriel Taylor, and Brinley Lyons; his mother, Claudie Pitts Lyons, of Richmond Hill; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Larry Lyons (Renee) and Daniel Lyons, all of Richmond Hill, GA; nieces and nephews, Victoria Lyons, David Lyons, Evan Lyons, Morgan Bowling (Trey), Luke Lyons (Ashton); and a great nephew, Kolton Lyons. Also several other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday (February 12, 2025) at 3PM at Oakgrove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:30PM-3PM, at the cemetery.
