Nahunta-Michael S. Durden, 54 of Nahunta, died Saturday afternoon (May 12, 2012) at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Gloucester, MA, his mother was Hazel Doncaster. Michael was a member of Hickox Baptist Church. He worked as a Supervisor for Foundation Concractors of Savannah, GA, he loved fishing, hunting, working on cars and driving trucks. He "loved" Nascar, and Dale Earnhadt, he loved "all" of his grandchildren, and spending time with them. Survivors include his wife, Betty Durden, of Nahunta; 3 sons and their spouses, Christopher and Khalilah Durden, of Abilene, TX, Rick and Bonnie Durden, Sr., of Wrentham, MA, and Justin Durden, of Assonet, MA; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Brandi Durden and Jameke Toussaint, of Nahunta; 9 grandchildren and one on the way, Gavin, Parker, Jake, Ricky Jr, and Reegan Durden, Hazel Wilburt, Jackson Welch, Ruby, and Michael Durden, ; 3 brothers, Dennis Durden, Ricky Durden, and Frank Durden, all of Brockton, MA; 4 sisters, Linda White, of Petersburg, VA, Tina Potter, Karen Deshaies, and Rayna Ducharme, all of Sanford, ME. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (May 15, 2012) from 6PM-9PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning (May 16, 2012) at 11AM at Hickox Baptist Church, with Rev. Vance Colley officiating. Pallbearers will be Christopher Durden, Ricky Durden, Justin Durden, Oscar Howland, Maurice Howland, Roy Howland, Ryan McIntyre, Jameke Toussaint, and Andy McIntyre.
