Milton Cato passed away in his sleep early Wednesday morning, November 2, 2016, following a short illness at his sister's home in Hoboken, Ga.
Milton loved the outdoors and tinkered with fixing lawn mowers and his automobiles and such. He was an avid movie fan and enjoyed Burt Reynolds in “Smokey and the Bandit” and “Hooper” among many others. He so enjoyed watching westerns and action movies on tv. In his younger days while living with his Father, he would ride his bicycle from Waycross to Brunswick and often stop in to see his Mother along the way in Nahunta. He had a wonderful smile and will be sorely missed. For some years now Milton has lived with his brother, Heyward until he had gotten down sick and has stayed with his sister, Margaret these past few weeks under Hospice care.
Milton was born in Ambrose, Georgia July 16, 1946. His parents were the late Daniel Leonard Cato and Clara Mae Chaney Cato King.
He is survived by two sisters, Margaret Pittman(J.R.) of Hoboken, GA, and Geraldine Riles of Brunswick, GA.; four brothers, Heyward “Buddy” Cato (Jeanette) of Nahunta, GA, Melvin Ray King (Laura) of Hoboken, GA, William Barney King (Debbie) of Nahunta, GA., and Zibe King, Jr. of White Oak, GA.
Visitation for friends and family will be held Thursday evening (November 3, 2016) from 6PM to 8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon ( November 4, 2016) at 4PM at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Reverend Ion Johns and Reverend Rodney Pittman officiating. Burial will follow in Hoboken Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jordan McCarty, Travis Pittman, Luke Pittman, Rodney Pittman, Roman Riles, and James Goolsby.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
