Milton 'Danny' Daniel Roberson

Milton Daniel "Danny" Roberson, 66 of Waynesville, GA, passed away at his residence Wednesday morning (June 10, 2015) following an extended illness. Danny was born in Jesup, GA to Milton and Edith McGraw Roberson on September 15, 1948. He grew up in the Hortense Community and attended school in Brantley County. He was affiliated with Sawgrass Philadelphia Wesleyan Methodist Church in Hortense, GA. He was employed with Brunswick Pulp and Paper for 14 years; was the owner and operator of Roberson Wholesale Tire & Battery in Atkinson, GA and served as a Brantley County Commissioner before becoming disabled. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing and the outdoors. Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Edith Roberson; five brothers Demory, Edgar, David, James and Francis Roberson. He is survived by three daughters Patricia Lynn (Charlie) Johnson of Brunswick; Lorie (Rex) Wright of Kingsland; Dannie Payne Roberson of Hortense; five grandchildren Charles (CJ) Johnson of Brunswick; Lindsay Johnson of Brunswick; Darrell (Tiffany) Cothren of St. Marys; Taylor Johnson of Brunswick; & Alan Wright of Kingsland; four great grandchildren Colin, Ryleigh, Aiden & Koralee; one sister Ruth (Bud) Jones of Nahunta, three brothers Charles Roberson of St Simons Island, Emory (Novice) Roberson of Hortense and Robert (Elizabeth) Roberson of Hemphill, Texas. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday (June 11, 2015) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Funeral services will be held Friday, (June 12, 2015) at 10AM at Frye Funeral Home, with Pastor Ricky Knox, Ron Stayman & Bud Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Hortense Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darrell Cothren, CJ Johnson, Alan Wright, Gary Jones, Michael Roberson, and Andy Roberson. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
