Hoboken – Nadine Baker Harris Peacock, 88, of Hoboken passed away Friday morning (December 11, 2015) at her residence after a brief illness. Born in Nahunta, GA her parents were George and Mary Magdalene Roberson Baker. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Silas Harris; her second husband, Loomis Peacock; 2 sisters, Myrtle Harris and Pauline Mercier; and 3 brothers, Oden “Red” Baker, Mack Lee Baker, and Leroy Baker. Nadine worked for Swisher Cigar Factory for many years. She enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. Survivors include several nieces, nephews and other relatives; and a special friend, Bobby Landrum of Waycross. Visitation will be held Sunday evening (December 13, 2015) starting at 6pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Monday morning (December 14, 2015) at 11am at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Ion Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Hoboken Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Harris, Skipper Harris, David Harris, Roger Harris, Chris Thomas and Bubba Mercier. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
