Nathan Stewart O'Neal

Blackshear- Nathan Stewart O’Neal, 58 of Blackshear, passed away Wednesday night (January 16,2019) at his residence following an extended illness.

Born in Waycross, GA. his parents were Jesse W. “Red” O’Neal and Rosa Mae Stewart O’Neal. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, James Edward O’Neal and Jesse W. O’Neal.

Nathan worked many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Brantley County Road Department, and he loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Jerri O’Neal, of Blackshear; 7 children, Crystal O’Neal (Fiancé, J.T. Todd), of Nahunta, Charlie Peacock of Blackshear, Joby Creamer, Johnny Creamer, and Danny Creamer, all of Nahunta, Casey Peacock and Amanda Murray, both of Blackshear; 6 grandchildren, Taylor O’Neal, Keegan Todd, Araceli Peacock, Natalie Saucedo, Alex Mendoza, and Baxley Mendoza; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene “Buster” O’Neal (Janice), Donald O’Neal (Pam), and Douglas O’Neal (Inez), all of Nahunta, one sister, Lizzie Mejia of Nahunta; a sister-in-law, Mary O’neal, of Nahunta; and a special friend, Charlie Peacock. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday (January 18, 2019) starting at 6 PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday (January 19,2019) at 2 PM at Frye Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Batten officiating.

Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Blackshear, GA.

Pallbearers will be Timmy O’Neal, Clinton Durham, Charlie O’Neal, Teagle Bohannon, Bobby O’Berry, Donnie O’Neal, James Flowers, and Abe Flowers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brantley County Road Department.

The family will be receiving friends at his residence; 918 Main St. Blackshear, GA. 31516.

Family and Pallbearers are asked to meet at the Funeral Home by 1:30PM Saturday.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
