Nahunta – Nicholas Alexander Altamirano, Sr., 37, of Nahunta passed away Thursday evening (October 13, 2016) at his residence after a brief illness.
Born in Greenville, SC his mother is Doris Boswell Altamirano.
Nicholas was truck driver for Williams Brothers Trucking and of the Baptist faith. He was a hardworking, loving husband, father, uncle, and brother who put all his time into his family especially his boys who he loved very much. Also he enjoyed fishing, kayaking, woodworking, refinishing furniture, antiquing, and working on his old red truck.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Dixon Altamirano of Nahunta; his 4 sons, Nicholas Altamirano, II, Sean Altamirano, Carter Altamirano, and Peyton Altamirano, all of Nahunta; his mother, Doris Altamirano of South Carolina; a sister-in-law and her spouse, Raquel & Sammy Dasher, of Folkston; a brother-in-law and his spouse, John & Jin Dixon, Jr., of Pensacola, FL; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael & Marie Altamirano of Hawaii; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Lena Poulos of Taylor, SC and Sherrie & Anthony Chiles, of Thompson, GA; his nieces and nephews, Sara, Amelia, Brooke, Bradley, Carolina, Maya, Hunter, Konner, Donovan, Caleb, Camille, and Elijah; father and mother-in-law, John & Nancy Dixon, Sr., of Nahunta; his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Boswell, Granny Dixon, and Papa Basil; and also several other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Monday evening (October 17, 2016) at 6PM at Hickox Baptist Church with Rev. Ray McMillian officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Williams Brothers Trucking Employees.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
