Norma Jean "Jeannie" Harrison, 39 of Hortense, passed away Monday (November 3, 2014) at Southeast Georgia Health System, in Brunswick following an extended illness. Born in Brunswick, GA., her parents are Avery Moody Harrison, Sr. and the late Ruth Johns Harrison. Jeannie was a homemaker and she enjoyed cutting grass, yard work, and loved her cats. Survivors include her 2 daughters, Britney Nicole Hendrix (Anthony Workman), of Waynesville, Leean Ruth McDowell, of Brunswick; her fiancé, Charles Edward Hardee, Jr., of Hortense; her father, Avery Moody Harrison, Sr., of Hortense; 3 sisters, Lettie Brauda, of Hortense, Brenda Rozier (James Futch, Jr.), of Hortense, Beth Harrison (James Clark), of Hortense; 2 brothers, Teddy Lee, of Hortense, and Avery Moody Harrison, Jr. (Anne Turngren), of Hortense. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday (November 5, 2014) from 6PM-9PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday (November 6, 2014) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Don Proctor officiating. Burial will follow in Whittaker Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Clark, James Futch, Troy Devlin, Terry O'Neal, Justin Hilliard, Timbo Crews, and Bobby Strickland. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
