Baxley – Patricia “Christine” Chaney Davis, 77, of Baxley passed away early Wednesday morning (September 19, 2018) at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah.
Born in Jacksonville, FL her parents were John Chaney and Lucille Westberry Chaney. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William Nettles; and a brother, Donald Chaney.
Christine was a homemaker and a member of White Oak Pentecostal Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, reading and watching TV.
Survivors include her 5 children and their spouses, George Floyd of Baxley, John & Tammy Floyd of White Oak, Sherry & Daniel Strickland of White Oak, David & Katie Davis of Baxley, and Billy & Erica Davis of Baxley; 12 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn & Edward Higginbotham of Callahan, FL and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held 30 minutes before the service on Saturday (September 22, 2018) starting at 10:30am at Burnt Fort Church Cemetery.
A graveside service will be held Saturday morning (September 22, 2018) at 11am at Burnt Fort Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Drury and Rev. Dickie Waters officiating.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
