Hickox – Patricia “Pat” Ann Smith Herrin, 65, of Hickox passed away Wednesday evening (February 14, 2024) at her residence after an extended illness.
Born in Dublin, GA her parents were Monte Smith and Gaynell Soles. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Herrin; and a brother, Gary Smith.
Pat was an ISS Teacher at Brantley County Middel School and a member of Hickox Praise and Worship. She loved spending time with her family, going to church, studying her bible, making flower arrangements, and sewing.
Survivors include her 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, George Herrin and Levi Herrin (Shyanne) all of Nahunta; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Amber Nielson (Russell) of Nahunta and Bobbie Jane Creech (Stephen) of Hazlehurst; 10 grandchildren, Ian Nielson, Eli Nielson, Hannah White, Mason White, Stephen Creech, Mia Thomas, Hudson Crews, Parker Herrin, Gunner Herrin, and Briar Herrin; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy Atha (Steve) of Monroe, GA; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Friday evening (February 16, 2024) from 6pm – 8pm at Hickox Praise and Worship.
A funeral service will be held Saturday morning (February 17, 2024) at 11am with Rev. Jason Marden and Rev. Otis Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Wainright, Will Johns, Tyler Whitley, Shannon Herrin, Jay Fowler and Derek Johnson.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
