Patricia Raulerson Smith Starling

Patricia Raulerson Smith Starling, 86 of Hortense, passed away early Sunday morning (August 28, 2016) at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Hortense, GA., her parents were Ralph Raulerson and Annie Lee Raulerson. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Smith; her second husband, James “Jim” Starling; her son, Layton Smith; her brother, Ignatius Raulerson; and her son-in-law, Mack Jacobs.

Mrs. Patricia was a homemaker and a member of Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church. She worked many years as a hostess at the Gold House, and enjoyed fishing, bowling, and crocheting.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, LaCount and Beth Smith, of Hortense; her daughter, Pamela Smith Jacobs, of Hortense; three grandchildren and their spouses, Vinnie and Darren Crews, Jeri and Larry Foster, and Liston Jacobs, all of Hortense; four great grandchildren, Annie Jacobs and her friend, Elijah Douglas, Kaylin Crews, Mason Crews, and Noah Crews; and the family pet, Katy Boy.

Visitation will be held Wednesday (August 31, 2016) from 10AM-11AM at Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday (August 31, 2016) at 11AM at Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Gill, Rev. Hilton Morgan, and Rev. Jack Sinclair officiating.

Burial will follow in Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jimbo Starling, Terry Starling, Barrett Smith, Daniel Herrin, Andy Roberson, and Tony Boatright.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
