Waynesville- Paul Kenson Sikes, 73 of Waynesville, passed away at his residence Sunday (October 19, 2014) following a brief illness. Born in Callahan, FL., his parents were Leon Edward Sikes and Iona Danielson Sikes. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Annalee Johnson Sikes; a daughter, Patricia Herrin; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Patsy and Jimmy Ham, and Mary Ann Sikes; a brother, Leon Sikes; a sister-in-law, Audrey Sikes. Paul served in the United States Air Force. He loved fishing, woodworking, and cooking. He worked many years at Kings Bay as a Mechanic. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Richard Sikes (Gail), of Hortense; his daughter and son-in-law, Paula Lott (Phil), of Folkston; 8-grandchildren, Josh Herrin, Selita Lynn (Zachary), of Hortense, Matthew Griffin, of Brunswick, Luke Griffin, of Hortense, Jonathan Griffin, of Hortense, Jacob Herrin, of Waynesville, Foster and Madelyn Lott, of Folkston; 1 great grandchild, Rhidge Griffin, of Hortense; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, George Sikes (Aloma), and Jack Sikes, both of Fl.; a sister-in-law, Patricia Sikes; and a son-in-law, Tracy Herrin. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A Visitation will be held Thursday evening (October 23, 2014) from 6PM-8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Graveside service will be held Saturday morning (November 1, 2014) at 11AM at Smyrna Cemetery with Rev. Clayton Edgy officiating. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
