Waynesville- Pearles Ray Norfleet, 87 of Waynesville, passed away Tuesday (November 17, 2015) at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Vidalia, GA., his parents were Almarine and Pearl Norfleet. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Claude Michael Norfleet and William Everette Norfleet; a daughter, Donna Jean Norfleet; and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Norfleet loved to fish and hunt. He worked most of his life as a self-employed carpenter and also drove a truck for many years. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Charlotte Caler Norfleet, of Waynesville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Tony Norfleet, of Waynesville, Danny Norfleet (Lucy), of Waynesville, Raymond Norfleet (JoAnn), of Hortense; four daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Taylor (Andy), of Brunswick, Winda O’Quinn, of Waynesville, Renea Daniels, of Waynesville, and Marie Norfleet, of Brunswick; 18 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday (November 21, 2015) at 1PM at Frye Funeral Home with Bro. David Dowling officiating.
