Peggy Inez Hearn

Hortense-Mrs. Peggy Inez Sloan Hearn, 75, of Hortense died early Thursday morning (October 13, 2011) At Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup after an extended illness. Born in Hortense, GA. her parents were Woodrow Potter and Nina Viola Jones Sloan. She is also preceeded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Hearn, Jr. Peggy was a homemaker and attended Hortense Church of God of Prophecy. Also she enjoyed sewing, flowers, watching the Braves ball games, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include 3 children and their spouses, Anthony Dale & Kathy Robinson, Jimmy & Tammy Robinson, and Peggy Ann & Darrell Lane all of Hortense; 6 grandchildren, Joni & David Reddick, Christy & Brad Rogers, Dee Ann Lane, Joey Lane, Lisa Robinson, and Jennifer Robinson all of Hortense; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty Townsend and June Faye & Kenneth Lee both of Hortense; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Friday evening (October 14, 2011) starting at 6 PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Saturday morning (October 15, 2011) at 11 AM at Hortense Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Lamar Lee and Rev. Matthew McEachern officiating. Burial will follow in Hortense Cemetery, Hortense. Pallbearers will be Brad Rogers, David Reddick, Butch Gibson, Gene Oglesby, Elbert Flowers and Kenny Lee.
