Peggy Mae Lee, 58, of Hortense passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, at her residence after a short illness.

Born in Nahunta her parents were the late Jimmy Walter Lee and Tiny Warner Lee. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Dale Robert Strickland; a grandson, George Strickland.

Ms. Lee was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith. She enjoyed cleaning, watching soap operas, and feeding animals.

Survivors include two sons, Flash Strickland of Nahunta, and Robert Strickland of Hortense; four grandchildren, Dale Strickland, Molly Strickland, Ellie May Strickland, and Ivy Marabell Strickland; two brothers, Cliff Lee (wife Barbara), and Ray Lee all of Hortense; one sister, Carolyn Nettles (husband David) of Millwood; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Monday morning (August 26, 2024) from 10:30 until 11 am at Smyrna Cemetery.

A graveside service will be held Monday morning (August 26, 2024) at 11AM at Smyrna Cemetery with Bishop Raymond Willis officiating.

Pallbearers will be Adam Lee, David Lee, Michael Nettles, River Hite, Mitch Milton, and Cayden Hill.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
