Peyton Rosemary Carter

Peyton Rosemary Carter, 5, of Hortense died Saturday afternoon (June 12, 2010) at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA after a brief illness. Born in Waycross her parents are Styles S. Carter and Seleta Miller Carter. She was a student in Ms. Spradley's class at the Waynesville Pre-K . Survivors include her parent's Seleta Miller Carter of Waynesville and Styles S. Carter of Fernandina Beach, FL; a brother, Zachary Carter of Waynesville; maternal grandparents, Tina & Les Miller and Coochie Miller all of Waynesville; Paternal grandparents, Penny Godbey of Mt. Pleasant; maternal great grandparents Frances Edgy and Virginia Adams both of Waynesville; paternal great grandparents, Carolyn & Cliff Dinkins of Waynesville; several aunts and uncles, Leslie & Luke Batten of Waynesville, Rose Miller of Brunswick, Larken Godbey and Sterling Godbey both of Mt. Pleasant; also several other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening (June 16, 2010) from 6-9PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Thursday morning (June 17, 2010) at 11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Vance Colley officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Waynesville. Active pallbearers will be Eddie Morgan, Adam McDowell, Russell Warner, Theodore Gee and Devan Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be Ms. Spradley's Pre-K class from Waynesville.
