Twin Rivers Community-Phillip Cruce, 74 of the Twin Rivers Community, passed away Friday morning (June 7, 2013) at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup following an extended illness. Born in Clarksville, TN., his parents were Erby and Madeline Frazier Cruce. Phillip was a self-employed painter for many years, he loved fishing and animals. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Doris Cruce, of Twin Rivers Community; 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip Cruce (Sandy), of Madisonville, KY, Tony Cruce (Tracy Austin-Fiance), of Madisonville, KY, Dwayne Rogers (Kimberly), of Glen St. Marys, FL, Christopher Rogers (Tatum), of Twin Rivers Community; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Becky Hagen (Bill), of Navarre, FL, and Penny Shalk, of Illinois; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a sister, Judy Bell, of Virginia; sister-in-law, Betty Menzies (Danny), of Richmond, VA; and his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Hendrickson, of Twin Rivers Community. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A Visitation will be held Saturday evening (June 8, 2013) at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Graveside Service will be held Sunday afternoon (June 9, 2013) at 2PM at New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Peter Lamos officiating. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
