Phillip 'Smokey' Harvey Fincher

Mr. Phillip "Smokey" Harvey Fincher, 56, of Nahunta died Monday afternoon ( August 16, 2010) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Portsmouth, VA, his parents are Charles Fincher and Doris Jean Wensil Fincher. Smokey was a retired boilermaker for the National Boiler Service and enjoyed working in his yard. He had also lived life to the fullest and enjoyed being with family and friends. Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Carmen & Robert Loudin of Cleveland, NC and Carrie & Tony Fisher of East Spencer, NC; 8 Grandchildren, Damon, Trevor, Chase, Drake, Devin and Eli Dayne,Tony and Michael all of North Carolina; his father and step-mother, Charles & Carolyn Fincher of Adrain, GA; his mother, Doris Jean Wensil Fincher of Brunswick, 4 brothers, Rick, Tim, Micky and Tony Fincher; 2 sisters, Kathie Holt and Tammy Shock; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service will be held Saturday evening (August 21, 2010) at 5 PM at Smokey residence 18843 Raybon Rd East Nahunta, GA 31553. Memorialization will be by cremation.
