Polly Ann Wainright

Nahunta – Mrs. Polly Ann Rushton Wainright, 61, of Nahunta passed away early Saturday morning (January 29, 2022) at her residence after an extended illness.
Polly Ann Wainright was born August 26, 1960 to the late Donnie & Carolyn Taylor Rushton and was raised by her grandparents the late Alton & Laura Jane Taylor of Vidalia, GA.
Mrs. Wainright made Nahunta her home for over 30 years with her late husband Mr. Joseph D. Wainright. She worked at Ware Manor Nursing Home as a CNA and the Brantley and Ware County Board of Education as a lunchroom lady and custodian for many years. She will be remembered for having the purest heart and a smile that would light up any room. Her Sunday dinners and her warm home welcoming’s will never be forgotten. Polly’s love was something her family never had to earn, buy or beg for, it was always there.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her 4 children & their spouses, Alton Cribb (Sissi), Matt Cribb, all on Nahunta, Laura Crews and Donnie Cribb (Sabrina) all of Waycross; her precious grandchildren, Kayla Cribb, Garrett Crews, Dalton Cribb, Landon Cribb, Ashlyn Crews, Alex Cribb, Noah Cribb, Austin Crews, & Carolyn Cribb; many other children throughout the years; four siblings & their spouses, Diana Griffin (Terry) of Metter, Michael Rushton (Kayla) of Stillmore, Amanda Rushton of Metter & Charles Rushton (Karen) of Collins; a special friend, Rose Johns of Nahunta; and also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday (February 2, 2022) at 11AM at Hickox Praise & Worship Church with Rev. Otis Johns, Rev. Alton Cribb and Rev. Randy Wainright officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Bethlehem cemetery.
