Folkston- Queenie Lou Davis Harvey, 76, of Folkston died Friday morning (December 13, 2013) at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Nahunta, GA her parents were Zeke & Ruby Hodges Davis. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Harvey; daughter, Sandra Denise Harvey; stepmother, Alma Henrietta Sikes Hodges Davis; 5 sisters, Dorothy Jones, Sarah Nasworthy, Rita Brown, Elenore Sikes, Georgie Davis; and 2 brothers, Dean Hodges and Clyde Hodges. Queenie was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She also loved dogs. She is survived by 6 sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce Gamble and Margie Crews both of Folkston, Maxine & H.C. Morgan and Stella & Cleve Wilson both of Nahunta, Margie & Ray McCullough of Hilliard and Kathleen Johns of Hickox; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Stanley & Patty Davis of Illinois, Clinton & Cheryl Davis of Nahunta and Cecil & Joann Hodges of Hilliard; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday morning (December 16, 2013) from 10-11AM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Monday morning (December 16, 2013) at 11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Hickox. Pallbearers will be Joey Gamble, Bobby Gamble, Will Johns, Joe Crews, Lee McCullough and Craig Morgan. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
