Nahunta- Quinton Dean Davis, 61, of Nahunta died Tuesday afternoon (February 15, 2011) at Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross after a brief illness. Born in Screven, GA his parents were Jim and Kathleen Anderson Davis. He is also preceded in death by a son, Shannon Davis. Quinton was a painter for Lonnie Stephens and attended Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church in Jesup. He also loved hunting, fishing, golfing and playing with his grandkids. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Davis of Nahunta; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Yancy & Toby Lane of Nahunta and Erica & Billy Davis of Baxley; 6 grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald & Betty Davis of Jesup; 3 sisters and a brother-in-law, Julie Smith of Nahunta, Reba & Robert Taylor of Offerman and Diane Stephens of Jesup; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Thursday evening (February 17, 2011) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A graveside service will be held Friday morning (February 18, 2011) at 11AM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Raybon with Rev. Cecil Bush and Rev. Ray Worldley officiating. Pallbearers will be Chad Brannen, Robbie Taylor, Jack Wilson, Jack O'Neal, Donny Davis and Brian O'Neal. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Taylor, Jimmy McCauley and Richard Hagan.
