Ralph Gill

Nahunta- Ralph Lonzo Gill, 81 of Nahunta died Friday (November 2, 2012) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Waycross, GA his parents were Sylvester and Viola Cowart Gill. He is also preceded in death by 5 sisters, Gladys Baker, Mamie Carter, Ethal Harper, Geraldine Gill and Rosalee Gill. Ralph was a ship fitter for Atlantic Marina and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Kings Road Baptist Church in Jacksonville and loved watching NASCAR, the Jacksonville Jaguars, sports and fishing. Ralph was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Survivors include his wife, Ella Jo Baty Gill of Nahunta; 5 children and their spouses, Joanna & Kevin Harritt of Polk City, FL, Ralph & Amanda Joyner of Port Charlotte, FL, Ronda & Richard Davis of Nahunta, Chris & Tina Gill of Nahunta and Louis & Stacie Gill of Jacksonville, FL; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert Gill and Roy & Mary Gill all of Jacksonville, Fl; a sister, Pauline Taylor of Callahan, FL; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will be holding a private memorial service. Memorialization will be by cremation. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
