Ralph Shepard, Jr.

Hortense-Ralph Shepard, Jr., 65 of Hortense, passed away at his residence Monday (December 17, 2012) following a brief illness. Born in Waycross, GA., his parents were Ralph and Geraldine Harnage Shepard, Sr. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Shepard. Ralph loved rodeos, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He served in the United States Army, and worked as a Technician for Bell South. Survivors include his former wife, Edna Shepard, of Hortense; a son, Dustin Shepard, of Hortense; a daughter, Lisha Shepard Morgan, of Waynesville. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday (December 19, 2012) from 6-9 PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday (December 20, 2012) at 11 AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Mullis officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dan Moody, Jerry Hickox, David Leggett, Sheldon Posey, Billy Crews, and Allen Luwisch.
