Ramona Crews Willis - July 27, 1930 - May 3, 2022

Ramona or Monie, as she was known to those nearest and dearest to her, was born in Hoboken, Georgia to the late J. Walter and Verona Howard Crews. She is survived by her husband of 22 years Paul Willis.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Melanie Stallings (Everett Perry) of Gretna, VA; two sons, L. Roger Stallings (Jacque) of Moss Landing, CA and Colt Stallings (Jeanna) of Gretna, VA; six grandchildren, Jessica Tanner (Jason), Jennifer Gilley (Blake), Dustin Stallings-Perry (Heidi), Laura Stallings, Keith Perry (DeDe), and Tracey Fowler; 18 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.

She is predeceased by her first husband, L.O. (Larry) Stallings JR.; two grandsons, Tony Perry & Stanley Perry; one sister, Delene Parse (Andy); beloved niece Ann Parse Mitchell (Mike); and dear friends, Franklin and Jeanie Gibson.

She attended South Georgia College in Douglas GA, and moved on to earn her degree as a Registered Nurse at Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Atlanta. She began her career as an RN in surgery at Georgia Baptist Hospital. She worked in obstetrics at Waycross Memorial for 5 years. After leaving Waycross, she worked for many years as an office nurse for Carl Drury, MD in Brunswick, St. Mary’s, and Nahunta. She ended her career working in home health.

Later in life, she and her husband, Paul, moved to beautiful Saint Simons Island, where she enjoyed motorcycle rides and drives with Paul in their bright blue Mustang. She was a very compassionate, loving, and patient woman; always giving many kisses and tight hugs. Her timeless beauty never waned, always looking her best no matter the occasion. She enjoyed creating beautiful art and coloring intricate pictures of birds and flowers. She was both an excellent cook and baker, making a divine apple pie, cakes, cookies, and donuts. She loved babies just as much as they loved her! She was a member of First Baptist Church of Saint Simons.
