Ray Barton Bertholf, I

Nahunta – Ray Barton Bertholf, I, 55, of Nahunta passed away Tuesday evening (August 20, 2024) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross after a brief illness.

Born in Dublin, GA his parents are Anne Elizabeth Lunsford Corbett and the late Johnnie Holt Bertholf. He is also preceded in death by a grandson, Kaysen Damren; a brother, Allen Bertholf; and a nephew, Kurt Bertholf.

Ray was a plumber and a truckdriver who got to visit 48 states. He enjoyed traveling playing the drums and telling stories.

Survivors include his wife, Eve Hand Bertholf of Nahunta; his son, Ray Bertholf, II of Waycross; 3 daughters, Ashley Toland of Phoenix City, AL, Tiffany Carter of Waycross and Cheyenne Deal Bertholf of Brunswick; grandchildren, Brenna, Keegan, Eric, Aubrey, Elliana, Bryan, Bradley, Ethan, Rory, Easton and Evelyn; his mother, ,Anne Corbett of TX; brothers, Ketih Bertholf, Mike Bertholf, Lamar Bertholf and Chris Bertholf; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

The family will be having a memorial service Saturday (August 24, 2024) from 1pm – 3pm at Fellowship Methodist Church, 2185 Old Jesup Rd Brunswick, GA 31525.
