Raynelle Thrift

Nahunta- Raynelle Padgett Thrift, 83 of Nahunta, passed away Saturday (August 14, 2021) at Community Hospice Center in Fernandina Beach, FL. following an extended illness.
Born in Uptonville, GA., her parents were the late Bennie Reo Padgett and Viola Eerie Padgett; her first husband, George Brunson Thrift; her second husband, Mack David “M.D.” Thrift; and brother, Lonnie Nash Padgett.
Raynelle was a member of Winokur Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and served him generously through giving. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, canning, and loved being in the kitchen.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary Brunson Thrift (Mary), of Yulee; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Elise Hendrix (Benny), of Fernandina Beach, FL., and Laura Reed, also of Fernandina Beach, FL.; her stepson, Ricky Dale Thrift (Harriett), of Nahunta; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-law, Virginia Darrell Parker (Jerry), of Brunswick; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Padgett. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside Services will be held Friday (August 20, 2021) at 11AM at Dowling Cemetery with Bro. Benjie Loyd officiating.
Due to COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
